This is another of the best movies of the year. Nicolas Cage portrays Charlie Kaufman and also plays his twin brother, Donald (the men who wrote “Adaptation.”) In “Adaptation”, Kaufman is adapting Susan Orlean’s (Meryl Streep) best selling novel “The Orchid Thief” into a screenplay. Charlie ends up writing himself and his brother into the screenplay; in other words, he is writing a script about writing a script…. tricky, but when you analyze it carefully, you will find a masterpiece.
