Catch Me if You Can

Spielberg has done it again. In this happy tale, Frank Abagnale, Jr., the youngest man on the FBI’S most wanted list (Leonardo DiCaprio,), is forging checks all over the world and FBI officer Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks) is after him.  As Abagnale poses as a Pan American Pilot, a doctor, and a lawyer, Hanratty relentlessly pursues while at the same time grows very fond of him.   Both Hanks and DiCaprio are fantastic and worthy of Oscar nominations.  This is a wonderful, feel-good movie  and it is hard to imagine anyone but Hanks and DiCaprio in these roles.  Christopher Walken as Frank Abagnale, Sr. also delivers a terrific performance.   “Catch Me If You Can” is my Mom’s favorite movie of the year.
