The first “Lord of the Rings” had many special effects and delivered
three stars. The sequel, “The Two Towers,” is much better. It is way more
exciting, adventurous and fun. Frodo (Elijah Wood) is, with a friend, searching
to destroy the ring with a strange creature that reminds me of Dobby from
“Harry Potter.” Meanwhile, it’s a huge battle between Viggo Mortenson and
Christopher Lee’s groups. “The Two Towers” is three hours of miraculous
fun – and a great thrill ride.
