Although not nearly as original and funny as the “Shrek” films, “Madagascar,” the latest animated movie from DreamWorks Animation, will entertain kids with its bright and colorful settings and goofy animal characters. Ben Stiller and Chris Rock provide somewhat dull voice-work as Alex the Lion and Marty the Zebra, but overall, the energy of the film makes up for its shortcomings.
